It was pretty great there. I got a very early check in which was a awesome! I did rock up at 7:30am and they let me check in straight away because they couldn't find my booking for a while. The location isn't great with having to climb hills and steep stairs to get there but it is almost between 2 stations so that was a plus. The room was awesome!

hangout@mt.emily is a perfect place for traveller looking to do some shopping on Orchard road. Little India is a stone throw away as well with massive amount of inexpensive food stalls. The hostel itself has an amazing rooftop terrace and very comfortable rooms. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Your front desk staff had been most helpful in giving us map and direction to enjoy your fair city.

Overall a nice place with friendly and helpful staff. Environmentally practices, were poor: 1) appeared to be no facility to separate waste for recycling. 2) breakfast was mainly meat/egg/dairy. No soy milk available. There was baked beans though. Bathroom facilities could be improved: 3 showers but only 2 hooks (that's 2 hooks to share with 3 showers), and the hooks are both in awkward positions, i.e. outside of the shower units. Where are you supposed to hand your towel and clothes?
