Hostel Flåm is a seasonal hostel which is open 1 April - 31 October. The hostel is located at the end of Norway's longest fjord, the Sognefjord, and also at the end of the famous Flåm railway line, one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world.
A range of accommodation options are available including single rooms, double rooms, 4 bedded dorms and family rooms. Facilities include a kitchen, laundry, Wi-Fi and garden. Although the hostel does not serve breakfast it's a short 5 minute walk to local shops, cafes and restaurants.
Hostel Flåm makes a great starting point for many activities including walking and biking in the Flåmsdalen and Aurlandsdalen valleys; kayaking on fjords; fishing; visiting the Flåm Railway Documentation Centre and the Njardar Vikings, where you can row a Viking boat on the fjord.
What travellers think
This was the best hostel I stayed in during my stay in Norway - and I travelled from Tromso to Bergen and Oslo! The location is great (only a few minutes walk to musuem, ferries, restaurants etc) and the staff were definitely the friendliest and most helpful. The room, kitchen and dining area were very clean. The kitchen /dining area was a large space with all the facilities/utensils you need. I would definitely recommend a stay at this accommodation.

It's a beautiful house in a majestic place. Flåm is different of everything I've ever seen. The hostel is cozy and staff is very friendly. Beds are comfortable and rooms are very clean. The kitchen is big and also clean. But if you are going to Flåm on a Saturday or Sunday remember to take your own food, the supermarket closes early.

Take a hike in Aurlandsdalen, or a boat trip into the fjords from the quai. Or a bus trip to neighboring villages. All nice!
