Beijing Far East International Youth Hostel is a lovely traditional style hostel, set in a quiet, Hutong neighbourhood and only a 10 minute walk away from Tian’anmen Square, Qianmen Business Center and the Forbidden City. The hostel has a rich history, being the former residence of a warlord in the beginning of the last century.

Beijing Far East International Youth Hostel is close to many local restaurants, small stores, a post office, Bank of China and supermarkets. The hostel is in a traditional Chinese courtyard, offers a TV and common room and has Internet access.

The hostel also provides bicycle rentals so that visitors can enjoy the Hutong area at their own pace. Other sights worth seeing close to the hostel include, The Great Wall, Shichahai Lakes, the few remaining Hutong neighbourhoods and The Legation Quarter for nightlife.

Far East YH is situated near to the subway station and bus stop. Here around, there is a supermarket and local dining room and stalls, I was satisfied. Beijing Opera theater is located in the place within a 10-minute walk. Location is the best.

Budget meal tip

10 m from hostel is small place. Looks a bit odd, but noodles are delicious.
