Really enjoyed our stay here. Bjarni, the owner / manager was brilliant. Helpful, friendly, informative & a mine of useful tips & suggestions.Loved the house, lots of lovely touches, comfortable & clean with a very well-equipped kitchen from which there was a glorious view of the snow-capped mountains across the sea lough. Great place.

We had one of 3 little but cosy cottages in Bjarnis Garden with toilet. We are 2 adults with 3 little kids and it was quiet o.k. for 2 nights. Bjarni has also wonderful lovely renovated house for rent with private bathroom nearby for max. 6 Person. A real gem! Bjarni and his wife run avery lovely Café with the best fish soup we had tried in whole Iceland! And the best homemade bread! Very friendly and welcoming hosts, I can highly recommend this family run hostel!

Te hostel is quite nice, with a big living room, two kitchens... The owner was very kind and helpful. He owns a coffee shop hundred meters from the Hostel, which is highly recommendable.

Cette AJ ressemble à un véritable petit cocoon aménagé avec gout...on dirait une chambre d'hôte....

Very nice little cottages in an unfortunately noisy location due to the main road running alongside the camping site. It would probably already improve the situation to plant a hedge to shield a bit the noise coming from the road. Also, the separation of various kinds of litter was not possible as opposed to the other hostels. The 2 beds and couch were o.k. with 2 adults and 2 kids but for one night only.

Due to time restrictions, my wife and I were only at the Dalvic hostel overnight and we arrived late and left early. However, we really enjoyed our stay there. The fellow running the hostel was extremely friendly and helpful, the kitchen area was clean and well-stocked, and the hostel was extremely well decorated. Also, the views of the mountains from the second floor bathroom and kitchen were unbelievable.
