The Bruegel Hostel is a great city centre hostel situated just 5 minutes’ walk from the Brussels Central Train Station and Grand Palace. It is an ideal place to stay for exploring this intriguing city.

Accommodation is in 1 - 4 bedded rooms, and facilities include a dining room with self-service restaurant, bar, TV room, common room, courtyard garden, Internet access and breakfast, which is included in the price. There is also a conference room available which has audio-visual equipment and offers meeting space for sixteen people.

The hostel’s central location means it’s an excellent starting point for sightseeing, with attractions such as the Atomium in Ossegem Park and the Museum of Cocoa and Chocolate just a short drive away.

There where a lot of children (which is fair enough), but I felt that we was treated like one of them. We where given items for breakfast then required to put items not needed in a dish, why not just let people take what they want?! The breakfast with regards to other youth hostels we have stayed in was quite meagre regarding items available. We ended up having just cereal and toast. No ham, cheese, boiled eggs, ginger cake, etc
