Just 2km from the city centre, hostel Biarritz is a modern hostel set at the foot of the Pyrenees and steps away from the sea. This popular seaside town is famous for its great surfing and is on the pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela.

Modern, comfortable and friendly, the hostel offers free breakfast, Internet access, well equipped kitchen, three meeting rooms (equipped with video projector, Wi-Fi, sound equipment and microphones) and bike rental.

Clean, nice hostel. It's obvious this hostel is also used to accomodate large groups, but they succeed in keeping a good and cosy atmosphere, also for individual backpackers. Breakfast is free and consists of sandwiches, spreads, cereals, yoghurt, hot drinks and juices. Good enough for me :) The hostel is located in a nice green domain, easily accessible from the train station & airport. It is quite far from the city center and beach and busses only drive till 9pm.

The hostel is in a terrible location - at the bottom of a VERY steep hill, 25 minute walk to the nearest beach and 40 minute walk to the city center and main beaches. The receptionists were very nice, although the other employees were a bit snooty. They wouldn't even let me sit on the floor by the outlet! WiFi was very poor, and there were a lot of creepy guys there - some looked homeless and kept trying to talk to me. Not the best environment, but very clean and lots of facilities! Nofoodnearby
