Set in two modern buildings, the Belle Ile En Mer hostel is well placed for taking in the stunning scenery of this island off the shores of Brittany. Activities range from sailing to biking and hiking along the coastal footpaths.
Accommodation is in 1-3 bedded rooms and facilities include a bar, TV room and self-catering kitchen. The hostel has lovely outdoor surroundings that provide the ideal setting to enjoy the sunshine in the warmer months and socialise with other travellers.
Off the Morbihan coast, the rich history of Belle-Île goes back to the Celts and Romans. Vestiges of these civilisations are still to be found on the island, as well as the fortifications erected by the engineers of the Kings of France. A walk along the wild coast is a must here - from the Port-Coton Pointe des Poulains and des Aiguilles where land and sea meet with a clash in an exceptional setting.
