In generale è stata una buona esperienza. Ho apprezzato le prese USB a disposizione di ogni singolo letto. Avrei preferito che nel prezzo fosse inclusa la colazione leggera (light breakfast).

Thank you for your great review score: much appreciated and very encouraging at our busiest time of the year. Not all of our rooms have USB ports/sockets by the bed, but I am happy that this was appreciated. We do not include breakfast in our rates, so as to give you the opportunity to self-cater and keep the overall cost down: you can buy breakfast and lunch quite cheaply at the cafe on the ground floor. I think, when comparing by room type with other properties in the city, we remain very competitive despite not having breakfast included. I hope you will continue using HI Hostels when you travel. Thank you. David

I stayed in many hostels on this trip (several in Iceland, plus London Oxford Circus, & Glasgow) and Belfast was by far the worst. First of all, no chair, table or desk in the room. Finally, this was the only hostel that want s some kind of "collateral" for the room key; initially the staff want s either my passport or driver's license, yet these were not being kept in a safe place (just a file card cabinet). I refused, and ended up using my Hi member card.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am sorry to read that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. Our ID policy is detailed on the booking page (but a HI membership card is actually more than adequate for us - I am sorry if the card was not requested on check in). All of our rooms here are on the small side I am afraid, with no space for a desk or a chair. We have a wide range of rooms though: an ensuite twin would have given you a little more space. I have just done a quick availability check for random weekends in Iceland, London and Glasgow: you paid £32 per night here for your room, staying on a Friday and Saturday night: in London on the Friday night I checked a private room cost £89: in Glasgow £66 - and a bed in a shared dorm in Reykjavik City cost £26. We hope that our rooms are farily priced, affordable and that we continue to provide good value for money. David

My room was on busy(noisy!) Donegal RD. I mentioned this to staff who suggested I email next time to request quieter room at BACK of hostel, this I will do. As water is short in Ireland generally, I told staff of the following: Shower head beside room 209(219?) leaking, my room had no sink stop. I carry universal sink stop so not a problem for me.

Thank you for your 100% Paul - and this despite some issues with street noise. I see you booked a standard 2 bed room: all of these rooms are actually on the street side of the hostel: when booking again we have a few ensuite twin rooms at the back of the building, and beds in dorms too. Sink plugs are one of those things that are forever disappearing I am afraid: we used to replace them often, but now tend not to when they go! See you next time you are in Belfast, David

Thankyou YHA Belfast for another very good stay of two nights. This time I was able to have breakfast in the cafe which was really excellent, good value for money and lots of choice.
