It’s hard not to love this family-run hostel in a charmingly converted 17th century farmhouse. Nestled below the Assisi walls, its well-kept gardens are dotted with olive trees and look out over unbeatable views of the city, which is renowned for its artistic beauty.

Taking advantage of beauty and convenience, the hostel is located near to local monuments and the train station, with free outdoor parking and spacious, comfortable, en suite rooms available in both dorm and private form. Wi-Fi is free, and breakfast is included in the room charge: with all food prepared using fresh and local ingredients, you can sample typical Umbrian dishes and choose from a gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan selection too.

Near the centre but away from the hustle and bustle, you can reach main points of interest such as the famous Basilicas, with their skyline-dominating spires, in under a kilometre. The Appenine’s Monte Subasio, with its pink stones used frequently for many Franciscan buildings in Assisi, is less than 5 km away.

The hostel is far from the city center, and to reach all Assisi sights it's necessary walk in a road without guardrail or other kin of security for pedestrian, and at night a darkness!!! In all hostels I've stayed, EVER the amout I payed when booking was discounted - except the HI tax, but the Assisi hostel manager/owner (a woman) did not discouted the deposit I've payed. The hostel closes at 11 am and opens at 3pm. At night, cloeses at 11.
