Located near the Carranque sports facilities, the Albergue Inturjoven de Málaga hostel offers easy access to the historic centre of Málaga with its fortress, gardens and galleries - some of which show works by the city's most famous son, Pablo Picasso.

The hostel facilities include a free breakfast, Internet access, laundry facilities, a TV and common room. All types of travellers are welcome and extra meals are available. The hostel also has lovely gardens for guests to enjoy.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The only thing I missed was there not being a member's kitchen, just a microwave in the large television room.

Accommodation was clean and comfortable, in a quiet part of the city and good value for money. I do not think the cycle parking facilities were secure, a locked room should be provided. The evening buffet meal was poor; everything seemed almost cold even though I went soon after opening. This was disappointing because it is difficult to find alternative food ( quite a distance from the city centre) .
