Located near the Carranque sports facilities, the Albergue Inturjoven de Málaga hostel offers easy access to the historic centre of Málaga with its fortress, gardens and galleries - some of which show works by the city's most famous son, Pablo Picasso.

The hostel facilities include a free breakfast, Internet access, laundry facilities, a TV and common room. All types of travellers are welcome and extra meals are available. The hostel also has lovely gardens for guests to enjoy.

Málaga, a seaport on the Costa de Sol in Spain, is a major tourist region famed for its rich architectural history, Mediterranean cuisine, wines, beaches and the birthplace of Picasso. Sights that should not be missed include the Roman Theatre, Alcazaba Fortress and Máalaga Cathedral.

Accommodation was clean and comfortable, in a quiet part of the city and good value for money. I do not think the cycle parking facilities were secure, a locked room should be provided. The evening buffet meal was poor; everything seemed almost cold even though I went soon after opening. This was disappointing because it is difficult to find alternative food ( quite a distance from the city centre) .
