The Vilafranca del Penedès Municipal Youth Hostel is located in the heart of the Penedès wine-growing area, just halfway between Barcelona and Tarragona and 15 minutes from the beach.
Vilafranca del Penedès, born at the beginning of the 12th century, is one of the most important medium-sized cities in Catalonia due to its strategic location, history, popular culture and wines.
The hostel, opened in 2000, occupies part of the Fassina d’en Just , an industrial site formerly dedicated to the production of distillates. Its rehabilitation turned the building into a quiet, warm and bright space, with spectacular views of its surroundings.
Its privileged location, on the border between the countryside and the city, allows easy and quick access to the historic centre of the town, the natural and rural environment and the municipal sports area.
