We stayed in Iceland in 5 hihostels (Reyðarfjörður, Gaulverjaskóli, Akureyri, Borgarness, Vagnsstaðir, ranked from best feel 1st). This hostel is well located in a "big" town in the North and offers a nice sleeping accomodation. We were helped at the desk by a nice French girl that worked there for like 2 months. Overall a good hostel.

I loved this hostel. The French woman working at the front was wonderful. Very kind, answered all of our questions and gave us recommendations for where to eat and what to do in the city. I met the owner in the kitchen-he was cleaning in the morning for the day's use. Very kind, a great listener and has many stories to tell. Himself and his family has own this hostel for years, and you can tell. It's very well-run and incredibly clean. I would stay again.
