What travellers think...
I've only stayed in two hostels, both in the same weekend and both in Chicago. One was the worst living conditions I've ever seen, the other was exceptional. Hosteling international Is the latter! You have found a loyal patron and I cannot wait to come back. Rooms were spacious, environment was lively, college kids roaming about, games in the lounge, and FREE BREAKFAST BUFFET! Reminds me of one of the new dorms built at my college. Can't wait for my next stay.

The overall experience was a good one. The first bed I was assigned was dirty... as in the sheets were stained. I think regardless of whether it was a permanent stain or a fresh one the sheet shouldn't be used again. Although the building preached be green' I couldn't find a recycling bin for plastic in the lobby. The shower curtains in the dorm rooms weren't very effective.
