What travellers think
Travellers that stayed here think this hostel is best for
- Unique atmosphere
The hostel felt like a mix between a hostel and a hotel. It didn't have the quirkiness and open kitchen feel that a hostel usually has. The staff was very friendly, but I had some weird experiences like when I asked where to wash my clothes. They showed me to a locked door/staff only area, specified that it should always be open and if not to let them know. I would go through their supply room, then reach a sink next to an industrial washer/dryer that was for washing clothes. Just very odd.

The hostel is located in a very nice, big building. I stayed there for two nights at the beginning of September and the hostel was almost empty, only if ghosts were there:) I was lucky to be in the whole room on my own, so it felt like I am staying in a hotel. There is no AC though and I could not open the window in my room which meant it was incredibly hot at nights... Breakfast has to be improved though as it is very basic and it would be nice to have keys from lockers.

Wonderful convent ideally located in São Roque, with a quiet patio inside, simple yet efficient breakfasts and friendly stuff.

Las escaleres de las literas deberian de estar en el lateral, no en la parte final de la litera.

Please note that if the staff offers you to make a call for you it is not for free (and they will not tell you that in advance). One day of stay does not mean 24 hours - the room was ready just at about 6pm, and check out regularly at noon next day. Great place, not so great people.
