The hostel itself is in a very beautiful environment. However, maybe it is my bad, but this place is rather hard to reach. I saw it in the map that it is situated outside Killarney, anyhow, I started out on foot. It was a very bad decision. It is around 6 km from the town, you had better take a bus and ask the driver to stop at Fossa Way. (problem is, the buses do not go that often from Killarney station.) Or if you want to access it on foot, check the map thoroughly before you venture out. About comfort: one night returning to the hostel, I got soaked and was a bit alarmed, as in the room it was cold and I did not bring any hair drier. (it was the end of October) I asked the otherwise nice staff whether they could turn on the heating, but they said that usually in Ireland they dont turn on the heating until it is winter weather so they will see what they can do but I should not expect anything. Well, really, the heating was not turned on. But I was given an extra blanket.
