Set close to the centre of this traditional oyster harbour, the Mont St Michel hostel is located in a natural protected area, on a beautiful beach. This unique setting is a good base for exploring the Mont Saint Michel, St Malo, Dinan, the emerald coast, the Chausey Islands and the Anglo-Normand Islands.

Mont St Michel hostel is open 24 hours, accommodation is in 1-8 bedded rooms and facilities include a kitchen, common room, games room, and playground. The hostel provides free Internet access and free breakfast. This Cancale hostel has package stays to practice sport activities such as sea kayaking and sailing.

Cancale lies along the coast to the east of Saint-Malo. It is a picturesque fishing village popular with visitors, many of whom are drawn by its reputation as the ‘oyster capital’ of Brittany. Though a small town, it is well served by a large number of restaurants and amenities.

A beautifully located hostel, with good clean accommodation. Nearby restaurants (15 minute rugged walk) were not open when we got there - it was Sept 16 after all, but was told they would be open. Returned and staff sold us some basic ingredients to make a rice dish. A good place to spend a few nights and the view over the harbour and sea are amazing.
