Youth hostel “Boswachtershuis” is located in the nature reserve the Beeltjens, and used to be the forester’s house. The building has been renovated and equipped with all modern comforts, respecting its original charm.

The woody surroundings and large playground of the youth hostel are very popular with nature classes. Families with children, bikers and hikers come here to enjoy nature. When the weather is good, the terrace is one of the main attractions of the area.

Westerlo has rightly earned its title of “The Pearl of the Kempen”. This town along the Grote Nete is surrounded by a green belt of nature reserves and woods. Apart from nature, the Antwerp Kempen offers surprising small cities (Lier, Herentals) and lots of culture (Hoogstraten, Turnhout, Geel). A region where nature, scenery and recreation make a perfect match!
