Bienvenido a nuestro albergue...
Located in Punkaharju, beside Lake Saimaa, the largest lake in Finland,
Hostel Mannila is housed in an old farm building with a century of history
behind it. Our peaceful hostel offers excellent services on clean premises
with a home-like atmosphere. During your stay, you will be looked after by
three generations of our family.
Also, customers have access to a free Wi-Fi connection. The public premises
boast a room with fireplace and a barbecue area. Why not hire one of our
rowing or pedal boats and enjoy the scenic surroundings from the lake or
dive into the clear water for a refreshing swim?
Visitors also have the opportunity to participate in a rowing trip on a
traditional longboat. The stables can be found just a stone’s throw away
from our hostel. In winter, a ski trail runs right past the hostel
building, while in summer you can savour the same scenery on foot, along
the hiking routes. And on Midsummer’s Eve, we light a bonfire on the
lakeside to mark the occasion.
Hostel Mannila is only three kilometres from the Punkaharju ridge, known
for its spectacular scenery. We also lie within easy reach of Finnish
Forest Museum Lusto and the mediaeval castle Olavinlinna, in Savonlinna.
Hostel Mannila´s neighbour farm has a petting zoo.
