Hostels & the Environment

Youth Hostel Associations take great care to operate hostels in ways sympathetic to the environment. Hostels adhere to the Hostelling International (IYHF) Environmental Charter. This lays down criteria for the consumption and conservation of resources, waste disposal and recycling, nature conservation and the provision of environmental education.
