I stayed in the older yet-to-be-upgraded dormitory at the back of the hostel. It was cold at night (even though the heater does help). The bed and pillow could be better. The hostel should provide kitchen facility for guests to make their own food and boil water for tea or coffee. The outdoor laundry hanging place is a plus.
Hostel response:
Dear,
Kitchen for guests is planned, and we are looking forward to it too.
Thank you for staying with us, and we appreciate your feedback.
Hostel and location were great, but the breakfast was terrible. It was only stale sliced white bread, jam and butter, and coffee. Nothing else to offer at all, not even cereal or an apple. We were very disappointed with that, seeing as "breakfast included" means we paid for that meal in our stay.
Hostel response:
Thank you for the good ratings of our services. We apologize for the breakfast on behalf of our kitchen staff, the cereals should have been offered and a new toaster should be there in a day or two. Once again, our apologies.
Two criticisms :1) when I arrived21/09 at 2100 the guy on the desk soldan even more expensive ticket, than purchasable from otherplacesv to Kornati( I usually associate HI Hosyels with he best deals). All other staff members were exceptionally helpful.
2) The hostel is very noisy
fantastic staff, very clean, one of the best hostels i have stayed so far!!!
Hostel response:
Dear Gottfried,
Thanks for your comment and for staying here. Hopefully we will see you again in future.

Too far from the center of the city
Zadar was a cool town. It helped that I could rent a scooter two blocks away from the hostel. The hostel served a convenient and acceptable (plain) meal. Not many restaurants seemed to have english menus.
NIce place. You'll have to take a bustrip into the city, but it is very close to the beach :) In the dorms there are only one key available, even if you do not know everyone in the room. This makes it uncomfortable in the night, when you have to sleep with the door unlocked so that the others can come in.
We lived in one of the renovated rooms, very nice but a little hot (July without aircon). The older rooms are located under trees that gives shade so, the are much cooler. The bar plays very loud music until 00.30.
The bed clothes were clean...
other things... better, much better in other hostels.
quite a long walk out of town but right next to a beach.
