The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of fridge space; there's only two cookers though, so that was a bit tight. The hostel was in a great location and was an easy walk from the city centre. We walked along the river on the way in and along the road on the way back, where there were lots of interesting building to see. The hostel was also really easy to find from the main ring road.
a faire place to stay there if you do'nt want to spend too much for hotel.
Quiet location next to easy riverside walk (when it's not flooded!)into city centre.
Very helpfull, they helpt me with the delait arraval of my backpack that missed the flight and was send after me. I hadn't too stay indoors to recieved it, so I could visit the city.
One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at, and I have stayed at a lot of them. The staff was super helpful and the food and drink were great to have right there in the lobby as the hostel is a bit far from the city center. Thanks for everyone's help and great service!
t5ge york hostel is a lovely building, I like the information given about the history of the house. Could you please indicate, though, that one has to go to reception to get things from the bar? It is confusing for newcomers when the bar looks closed, i.e. unattended, when really the staff are between bar and reception.
Excellent breakfasts. Lighting in rooms very dim.
Your bar was stocked with some lovely real ales. Well done and let other hostels follow your example.
All good
More care needs to be given when making bookings for "groups" of people. We had very little sleep one night due to a party of women arriving back after a night out on the town. The talking, laughing and door banging lasted until 5am. Staff being sorry the next morning isn't enough. Because the window only opens a tiny bit, the room was quite hot too. Otherwise it was fine.
