Very close to the Jetfoil port. No kitchen though or personal keys to the room.

Spacious dorm with a tatami sitting area in each room. Power socket in each locker next to the bed; very thoughtful.

Very friendly staff. A lot of things that are useful to a traveller are provided for free or for little money, e.g. WiFi, tea, coffee, some food items, information of all kind, ... - you notice that somebody who thought a lot about travellers' needs runs this hostel. Value for money is good considering that it is Japan. Location is good for people who do not stay too long on Yakushima as it's near the harbour and Shiratany forest.

Best ever. Clean. Quiet. The staff helped me to enjoy Yakushima. Such as searching the time of law tide, good restaurants, interestnig places. The hostel also provides free Tankan(special fruits in Yakushima). I was so impressed. The room is suprisingly big and quite. I have been a lot of hostel before, and this hostel was best ever !

fantastic and very friendly staff. very clean and facilities are sufficient. the location just a slow 10 min walk to the port is needless to say, excellent. Walking distance to almost anything you need from supermarket to tourist centre to equipment rentals.

Aside from the extra charge, this was an amazing, comfortable, and friendly location. Open doors and lack of lockers feels a bit less safe, however.

Hostel Overview
This YH is located just in front of Miyanoura Port which is the gateway of Yakushima Island. There are many restaurants and souvenir shops in the neighborhood and very convenient. Also many major buses are operated. You can also enjoy diving, fishing and marine sports. Facilities include air conditioning, laundry, microwave, refrigerator, TV, free Internet*No diner & no breakfast are served. There are some restaurants near the Hostel.
