Hostel Overview
The completely modernized YH has been welcoming travellers again since May. Cars are banned from the island. Stay has to be booked in advance; local tax not included, only full board.Wangerooge is the most eastern of the East Frisian Islands. The hostel is housed in the 7 floors of the "Westturm" (western tower), the island’s most famous landmark, and a modern extension. It’s a 20 minute walk to the landing pier and 45 minute walk to the village of Wangerooge.

| Rail: | By rail: Oldenburg-Wilhelmshaven line, get off at Sande station, then bus to Harlesiel. By car/coach: A29 to interchange „Wilhelmshavener Kreuz“, then B210 to Jever and continue to Harlesiel; from there ferry to Wangerooge (schedule depends on tide). From the landing pier 20 minutes walk along paved footpath to the hostel. Luggage transfer will be arranged. |
