very good meals, many organics. Voss itself has not a lot to offer in the fall, but the location of the hostel is superb

The view from room was nice but it take about 10 minutes from thr train staton which the road was under construction, therefore it's no so convience to reach the hostel. There are no supermarker near the hostel, you need go to city centre to buy the ingredients,however, overall it still a nice place to stay.

very good and clean hostel! it was a pleasure eat breakfast with a beautiful panorama in the mornìng! a little far but not so much from the center. Important:it is the only place in wich you can rent a bike in voss!

In a country with extremely high room rates, the Voss Hostel is a relative bargain. It is a 10-12 minute walk to the rail station with excellent connections for Bergen and the Nutshell. The double rooms are simple but very functional. Sheets and pillow cases are provided but not towels. The breakfasts are excellent!

Excellent location with lovely view of the lake. Pleasant outside seating area and boats to hire. Wonderful organic food available at breakfast. Pleasant communal areas. Rooms are basic compared to Balestrand Hostel but I suspect Voss is much older. Some refurbishment of rooms would be beneficial - especially the shower.

We look forward to welcoming you at Voss hostel, located in the Western part of Norway surrounded by beautiful nature and perfect for those guests wanting to get out and explore.Voss is the perfect spot for everyone who’s interested in sports, nature and activities. There is something for everyone’s taste! The varied mountain terrain around Voss makes it an excellent base for walks and mountain hikes. There are plenty of lakes and rivers for fishing and kayaking, and good terrains for cycling and golfing. The more adventurous can try out sky diving, paragliding, rafting, river boarding and white water paddling. We are happy to help you book activities at no extra charge.
During the yearly event Ekstremsportveko (the Extreme Sport Week) there are competitions in acro paragliding, BASE, rafting, whitewater kayaking, climbing and much more. Voss also hosts several well-known cultural events like the Voss Jazz Festival and the Osa Festival.
The hostel is beautifully situated by the lake Vangsvatnet, 800 m from the train and bus station in Voss. We take special pride in making a breakfast with ecological products from Finnegarden farm, and our summer café offers evening meals during high season. You can rent bikes at the hostel - and if you are up for a swim in the lake we are happy to warm up our sauna for you!
Winter season lasts from December to April, when Voss Resort and Myrkdalen ski resort offer great alpine skiing facilities, and endless options for ski touring.
In December and January we offer accommodation without breakfast. Nok 40,- per person is deducted from the booking rate on check-in.
