This was my first experience in Austria Youth Hostels. Comparing the dormitory facilities (bathroom, cleaniness, breakfast, etc) with other European countries' hostels (UK, Ireland, Greece, Romania, Hungary...) I was very satisfied with it. I can recommend Villach Youth Hostel to every budget traveller.

It's very pity there is no Wi-Fi in the hostel. At least this was what a woman at the reception told us.

Coming from Gratz by car, it was very difficult to find the Hostell.

Staff are very good, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good. Lunch and dinner are served at a very low price. Food is excellent and delicious. The lady who was serving food was very amicable and warm. It is 20-25 minutes walk from railway station. Need more youth hostel sign on the way from railway station to reach comfortably. Overall it is good and value for money.

Situated near a number of sports and recreation facilities (including four skiing regions) and only 20 minutes drive from Italy and Slovenia, the hostel offers rooms with bunk beds, en suite showers.
