A bit far from the center but public transport close by. Stiff mattresses but impeccable spacious room. A baby crib was even supplied!

breakfast is really good, but there is no free wifi and it doesn't really work in the room.

    Hostel response:
Daer Yating, thank you for your comments. Free WiFi is only available in the lobby area, WiFi in the room we offer only in Brigittenau Youth Palace - anyway do we hope to welcome you again - best regards from Vienna - HI Brigittenau

My only comment is that although I stayed two nights, I got just one stamp on the Hostelling International card. I don't know if that is one stamp per stay or one stamp per night. It was all great. I would really like to be part of the Hostelling International group by operating some hostels in my own country (Greece).

Contrary to website description: Towels are not included Our double room was a bunk bed We could not get wi-fi in our room (we could get in the reception area) I also had not realised there was no kitchen for guests to use

    Hostel response:
Dear Kirsty, thank you for your comments, but you have got exact the service and room you had booked yourself on hihostels.com. Maybe you mixed the service you asked for (towels, no bunks, wifi in the room) with the service provided in our other hostel Brigittenau Youth Palace? And we never offered a member-kitchen as it's simply not a part of our service - sorry for that. Hope to welcome you again anyway(then in the Brigittenau Youth Palace ? ;-) Best regards from Vienna HI Vienna Brigittenau

Very clean, very organized... Good breakfast with great variety of food. Nice rooms, well ventilated with a lot of private space to put your stuff. Only drawback is having to take public transport to go downtown, but it is a short ride. Definitely recommend!

I stayed there during New Year's days (2012/2013), and I and my friends really liked the hostel, except for the fact that some of us found some spots on the shits...but I think that if we'd asked the staff to replace them, there'd be no problem. The rooms are small but well organised (there's a sink in every room, even if the bathroom is in common for the guests). The location is also very good: 1km to the nearest metro station (you can reach it in a 10 minutes walk), but there's also a bus stop right in front of the hostel and a tram stop more or less 300mt away. I'm sure that if I'll ever come back to Vienna I'd love to stay again in this hostel!!

Hostel Overview

Located only 20 minutes from the city centre, the 410 bed hostel backs on to the Donauinsel, Europe's longest man-made beach, on the banks of the Danube. Rooms have 2-6 beds (bunks), most en suite.

Our modern hostel is close to the "Donauinsel", an island in the Danube and Vienna’s leisure paradise offering many outdoor activities. The "Millennium City" with its numerous shops and leisure facilities is just a stone’s throw away.

All Vienna train stations and Vienna Schwechat Airport are within easy reach by public transport. A public transport stop is right on our doorstep and you can get to the city centre in 20 min.

We have rooms with 2 – 6 beds (bunks). Breakfast buffet is included.

You can feel totally safe with us: we have a high-tech electronic lock system, secure lockers, state-of-the-art fire alarm and our reception is open 24 hours (no closing time).

We have a large garden, a lounge with cable TV and other entertainment equipment, Internet terminals and free WIFI (in the lobby). We offer luggage storage on arrival/departure day and a secured bike shed, both free of charge. We also have an underground garage with 25 parking spaces (fees apply).
