They have only a few rooms for international hostellers, but if you can get one it's excellent value for money. A very pleasant place to stay.

Chientan Overseas Youth Activity Center is situated on the west bank of the Keelung River, occupying an area of 50,000 square meters. The Center characterizes itself with rich and diversified architectural expressions. All of our visitors here would enjoy the mixture of the tradition elements and modern technology. Immerged in these natural views of KuanYin Mountain and Chientan Lake, you’ve remarked your trip here an unforgettable memory. With its convenient location close to the Taipei Metro Rapid Transit (MRT) Chientan Station, which is the northern hub of Taipei transportation system, Chientan Overseas Youth Activity Center has become one of the best boarding choices for travelers. Via MRT, you may easily reach out to a number of tourist attractions around Taipei city, such as Taipei Zoo, Danshuei, Chiang Kai Shei Presidential Shihlin Residence, Shihlin Night Market, Chiang Kai-Shei Memorial Hall, Yanmingshan, National Palace Museum, and Taipei Sea World.====== FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ===
"Do I need a YH membership card?" - Yes! Card must be shown upon arrival. Membership can be purchased at our center. A non-member will be charged in additional 15% fee on arrival.
"Do you provide bed sheets?" - Yes, they're included in the rate.
"Do you serve breakfast?" - Yes, they're also included. Breakfast time from 7:00 till 9:00 am.
"Until what time do you hold my reservation?" - For ensure the occupancies of our center, we only receive bookings via www.hihostels.com. We keep it till 6 pm, if you don't show up at all, we'll charge your credit card the amount of your first night's stay.
"How early do I need to book?" - The earlier the better. Our busiest months are July until November. You can make appointments maximum three months in advance.
※Membership cards shown upon arrival. Membership can be purchased at hostel. Rates quoted assume guests are members of Hostelling International. A non-member supplement will be charged on arrival at hostel.

| Metro: | When you arrive Taipei Railway Station, you need take the MRT Danshui Line to Exit 2 of Jiantan Station. Hostel is within walking distance about 12 ~ 15 minutes to arrive. |
| Parking: | Plenty of free parking available at hostel. |
| Location: | Located in the Zhongshan North Road, the city center, close to the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, the famous Shilin night market is within walking distance about 10 ~ 12 minutes to arrive. |
| Airport: | When you entry from the CKS airport, you can take bus transport from the airport to Taipei Railway Station, it need 1/2 to 1 hours , adult single fares vary from NT$110 to $140. ( Bus information : http://www.taoyuanairport.gov.tw/english/ ) when you arrive Taipei Railway Station, please change to the MRT underground to the hostel. |
