We had to leave at 6.15 am. It was told us that it was possible to have breakfast at 6 am. On the contary nobody was there to serve us and neither the food. So we left the hostel without eating, even if we had paid breakfast.

Hostel Overview
Tønsberg Hostel is a very friendly and cosy hostel, managed by Margrethe and her family. The hostel is situated on historic ground next to Slottsfjellet, Tønsberg’s landmark. In total, the hostel has 23 rooms and 8 of the rooms have a private shower / WC. Common rooms with TV, games, books and free access for Internet is available for guests. Free parking is offered in front of the hostel.Located only 20 minutes from Sandefjord Airport Torp and in walking distance to Tønsberg railway- and bus station, the hostel is easy accessible. Tønsberg is one of the most popular cities in the summer in Norway. It is also Scandinavia´s oldest town. The small city has a vibrant city life with people enjoying themselves at the streets or harbor, going to its’ many museums, galleries, concerts or restaurants/cafés.
Other sights: Tunsberghus from the viking age, Tønsberg fylkesmuseum with a collection of old buildings,the burial mound Oseberghaugen where the viking ship Osebergskipet was found in 1904, a modern and internationally renowned library.

| Bus: | The bus station is located 500 meter from the hostel. Daily departure to Oslo by the hour by Timeexpressen. Airport coach to Sandefjord Airport Torp. |
| Parking: | Free parking for guests outside the hostel. |
| Sea port: | In spring/summer (from the 19th of April to the 14th of August) there are daily departures by ferry to Engelsviken, close to Fredrikstad. |
| Location: | The hostel is located about 500 meters north east from city centre, and only 400 meters from the railway- and bus station. |
| Rail: | Tønsberg railway station is located about 400 meters from the hostel. Daily frequently departures to Oslo and Skien. Easy access to Sandefjord Airport Torp and Oslo Airport Gardemoen. |
| Airport: | Sandefjord Airport Torp is located 27km from the hostel. By train (or car) it will only takes you about 20 minutes to come to the hostel. |
