No area to rest/wait or join with other guest in hostel lobby,and in the lobby,it 's poor lighting,not clean, only 2 hard chairs to sit . It has a hostel's restaurant in another building, and have to go out from reception lobby and walk away about 10 m.,that look like the hostel want to push all guests to sit there.So,that's not convenience.

The dorm rooms could use more light. The shower stalls need a shelf or more hooks so it's easier to dress in them and not get your clothes wet.

Really nice staff, ask them whatever you need. A piece of advice: DON'T make your check out after 12.00, the really take it seriously and you will have to pay a half-day fine.

All staff should be able to communicate in English 24 hours a day. Suzhou tourist attractions should be posted at the reception. The staff working at the desk should know as well what there is to see in Suzhou. I went to Shangtang street hostel and the staff was much more helpful for that. Could you please tell the cleaning lady to wash under the bed where I slept. There is 2 big spiders nests covered with dust. Why the soap holder is into the toilet cubicle instead of the shower cubicle?

Mingtown Suzhou Youth Hostel is on No.28 Ping Jiang Road,Suzhou,China. Pingjiang District is the most ancient block in Suzhou downtown area.For thousands of years, Ping Jiang Rd keeps the old pattern--road paralleling to canal ,which makes it the most attractive ancient block.Visiters could take the wooden boats along the canal and observe native people’life there .The hostel is next to lots of historic sites and key points of interest, former residences of celebrities, classical gardens as well as Buddhist and Taoist temples. It only takes ten minutes’ walk to famous sights like Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou Museum, The Lion Forest Garden, Shan Xi Assembly Hall, Couple Garden, Guan Qian Street and there are also many buses to other sight-seeing spots in Suzhou city from here.If you want to touch the real and original Suzhou City, please go to Mingtown Suzhou Youth Hostel.
