It was the most amazing stay during my trip. Everyone was welcoming, bed is so comfort and clean, and the breakfast was great. Even though the village itself was amazing, but the hostel was also fantastic. Thanks for everything.

The location can't be better. The staff are very nice. The room is quite clean and quite. I really enjoy my stay in St. Gilgen.

It's important to make very clear the hostel night closing hour. We arrived at 10:00 PM after phoning in during the afternoon to announce our delay, just to find the main door closed. We managed to get in just by sheer luck. Kudos for the direction for leaving our room keys on the desk.

There was a lot of noise during both nighs because there were fifty children who were not under control of the adults. When they have a group they have to talk to the people in charge and tell them about the rules.
Hostel Overview
St Gilgen youth hostel is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. The hostel is situated opposite the bathing beach. St Gilgen is an ideal base for outdoor activities such as Nordic walking, mountain biking and rambling tours in the surrounding mountains. Rooms have 1, 2 or 4 beds with en suite shower and WC. Our kitchen offers buffet breakfast, half and full board and a vegetarian options. Hostel facilities include cable TV, sauna, table tennis and many cosy common rooms.Hostel bed capacity
