they always ask for pay 250 rub for a person – the cost of registration every time when you arrive. and the boss of this hostel said they are not in YHA systems!!! reception is friendly and helpful.
Hostel Overview
Pilau hostel is located at the heart of the city centre, in close proximity to famous St.Petersburg place FIVES CORNERS. About 2 minutes walk from the Dostoevskaya/Vladimirskaya subway station and 5 minutes to the main city street Nevsky Prospekt.We offer comfortable accommodation in 2-, 4-, 6- or 8-bedded rooms. A toilet and shower are in a room or conveniently located on each floor. Three of our NEW 4-bedded rooms with TV have lower beds with 140x200 mattress (rooms can be booked for 5 or 6 persons). We also have one room with a double bed.
In spite of the fact that some rooms have their toilets outside, on each floor, nobody experience discomfort about that, because we have 7 showers, 8 toilets and 12 washbasins, all brand new, for just 52 people staying with us. Everyone in a room gets their own personal reading light, so you can read without disturbing or being disturbed by other residents.
Pilau hostel accommodates foreign guests and offers them visa support, registration, airport or railway station transfer, excursion tours for individual guests and touristic groups, theatre, museum, concert tickets, etc.; Railway and airplane tickets; 24-hours security guard;

Then take the METRO train to the Vladimirskaya / Dostoevskaya metro station and then walk to the hostel.
