I booked a room in advance with no difficulties and paid the rest after my arrival. It was absolutely no problem to find the hostel because it's just one minute walking from bus stop in Skogar near to Skogafos waterfall. The receptionist was very nice men. The room was clean as well as shower and rest room. The kitchen was equipted with all stuffs we needed. We had really pleased stay there for good money.

Incredible location, with view of skogafoss from some of the rooms. Excellent youth hostel all in all, with good showers and all the basics in kitchen.

Kitchen was too small and not clean enough, as the house was fully booked and a lot of people used the kitchen. Also, the pots and pans were old and used. We did not cook there, as it was just too dirty. The room was clean and so were the restrooms. Everything except the kitchen was good. Thank you.

Great location so close to the waterfall. lady at hostel reception recommended a local adventure firm who acted as a taxi to get us to the Landheyhoefn ferry for 9:30am - it couldn't be done by public transport and was an ideal alternative and very good value (5000isk) for the 4 of us for a 30-minute journey. Ferry trip even better value toa fantastic island!

The bunk bed was so squeaky, that everybody in the room always woke up, when one person turned around in that bed. Also the mattresses were pretty bad, so it was not possible to get a good night's sleep.

We paid for a "double room" and we got a room with a bunk bed and a little single bed. We were expecting a double bed or two singles, which is what we got in other hostels for a similar price. The information during the online booking process is misleading, and when we questioned the layout of the room, the staff tried to convinced us that "double room" means a room that can be occupied by two people, and we should be happy to get a room that could actually accommodate three. We were told that all their room have bunk beds.

Rooms between kitchen and Wc-shower are very noisy. There is only one sink in the kitchen for 15 people and the equipment is not enough. The washbasin are in the WC, so you have to wait a long time for everything. You have to pay to have internet. This hostel was the worst we were in Island. Otherwise the location is good, near skogar muséum and the staff is fine.
