Very disappointed with the check-in procedure. It seems that providing our names and the booking reference number is not enough to enable a smooth check in. Instead we were asked to provide the email showing the booking reference number. This involved using the hostel's computer on which everything comes up in Chinese. It would be great if the staff had a list of all the people who have booked for that day so that they could greet them when they arrive instead of giving the impression that one's booking doesn't exist.

A very pleasant and comfortable hostel, although somewhat removed from the main sights of Shanghai. Quiet area, but hostel is above a subway line.

Walking distance the major attractions, like People Square and Nanjing shopping street etc. In a 150 year old building ,The unique loft-style and traditional shanghai-style decoration invite our fellow travellers to relax in our Soho bar, enjoy delicious food, or read our books and surf our mega-fast internet in our reading area
