Hostel Overview
Sandviken is situated in the heart of Gästrikland. The surroundings are characterised by the mighty Dalälven River and its roaring rapids that attract many paddlers and fishers.The ski slopes of Kungsberget make Sandviken a popular destination during the winter months as well.
The newly renovated and enjoyable STF Hostel Sandviken is just a five minute walk from the town centre. Guests are accommodated in rooms with two to five beds, with a shared shower and toilet. All rooms have a TV and there is a communal kitchen.
Nearby Högby Bruk, the cradle of Sandviken, dates back to the 1630s. This fascinating estate offers a unique combination of natural and cultural history and activities. The Färnebofjärden National Park is well known for its birdlife which has attracted ornithologists since the 1970s.
