Definitely one of the cleanest hostels I have ever stayed at. This came at the cost of a VERY long list of rules restricting your activities at the hostel: everything from storing your belongings, to eating rolls at breakfast, or using the furniture in the room. Also, THERE IS NO KITCHEN available. The front desk is closed from 10 - 17 and during the night making it challenging to use services provided by the hostel such as bag storage. Overall, a nice place to stay, but don't expect a relaxed hostel atmosphere.
A lovely hostel but it's a shame you need two buses to get there - if it was my first time arriving into Salzburg in the evening I would have found this very hard; fortunately I already visited Szbg and had an idea my way around the town centre, Essentially the directions don't tell you that you have to **cross the road** to get the second bus. The kind man in the kiosk told me this, but if I didnt speak some German, or if he had been closed...??
It's a lovely house and I wished I had an extra day to explore it further.
My visit marred by sharing a room with two young girls who rolled in looking like they came from a party, decided to bunk in one bed together without even getting into night-clothes and proceed to giggle away most of the night. At 1am I had to ask them (as politely as I could in seecond language) to be quiet as I expected to be allowed to sleep.
