Hostel Overview

Björkvattnet is located in Frostviken in northwestern Jamtland, seven kilometers from the Norwegian border. All year does Björkvattnet offer a lot of different experiences and adventures. Summer is great and the fall if possible, even more beautiful. And spring is simply amazing.

The hostel is located in the old village school and the beautiful scenery around the hostel provides natural loading for the soul. Here there is opportunity for different kinds of accommodation as family rooms, cabins and tents in the wild. The hostel has also a well-equipped kitchen and a sauna.

For those who want to fish offer great opportunities in Björkvattnet. During the winter there are both Björkvattnet Lake and several lakes that offer trout. Other activities include beaver, hiking, ice fishing, boat and canoe rentals. Take time out to experience the waterfall, the largest canyon in Europe.
