Hostel Overview
The hostel Åsarna is a facility that focuses specifically on skiing and founded by the successful skiers Thomas Wassberg, Jan Ottosson, Torgny Mogren.The hostel ridges are great opportunities for a rich outdoor life and a wide range of activities. The hostel is located right on the lake Ljungan with a beautifully located beach which is excellent for trout fishing. Boats and canoes can be hired. You can also rent mountain bikes for the cycling adventure.
Cross country skking-clubs involves the entire village and several major competitions are arranged each year. One of the best groomed cross country trails system is available with branch lines directly from the hostel. For those who prefer to go out is Klövsjö-Vemdalens mountain area just twenty minutes away. The ridges also offer guided bird hunting on grouse, black grouse and capercaillie and hungry for golf is an excellent golf course nearby.
