Hostel Overview

Årås has been characterized by the presence of the nobility for many centuries. Goods Årås mill was once owned by the family Gyllenstierna who was councilor to the Vasa kings. Årås and the district is rich in ancient monuments and ruins, not least Ekehagen fornminnesby.

The hostel is housed in a wing of the historic estate. The building was once the residence of the machinist to mill and power station and was therefore called "dairy". Today the rooms are quaint and personally designed and meets all requirements for a modern hostel.

The hostel is located between the two lakes Jogen and Valle, and there are good opportunities for fishing and boating. There are also great hiking trails in the surrounding area and the opportunity to rent a bike to look around. For those who want to swing the club are golf courses just over one mil away.
