Eve was AMAZING!!! So helpful. The directions online were a bit off. I have rewrote them and will send them to Eve. Enjoyed our stay and was able to leave two bags there while we went to Sugulda.

Really nice place to stay and a lovely staff with australian flavour ! Very good kitchen to prepaire your own foot, spacious living room and big rooms! Free internet!Everything you need to be happy for a couple of days!

This hostel is very good; clean, cosy and friendly staff and other guests. The location is nice, just outside the old town, you can walk there in 5 minutes. The kitchen is very good so you can cook your own dinner. I was travelling alone and I met nice people here.

Includes a free adequate breakfast: cereal, bread and jam, eggs, bananas, tea to drink any time. Out of the three hostels I stayed in in Riga this is the only one that is like a true hostel, rather than a hotel. Time of year end of May: Riga - Central Park Hostel: Very good if you like a small hotel. Riga - Tiger Hostel: more like a hostel: there may be "Our kitchen with special equipment allows travellers to have food." but on this side there is tea, coffee, sugar, kettle and a fridge. Ver friendly.

Australian Hostel Located in the City Centre on the edge of Old Riga to enable a quiet sleep. At Barons you can freely use the Kitchen, Lounge Room, TV, DVD, Video etc. Four trams run close by to take you to various parts of Riga away from the centre . FREE INTERNET COMPUTER AND WIFI, free lockers for all your luggage.Barons also owns the Liepaja Beach Hostel www.beachhostel.lv to provide guests with an excellent out of Riga escape. Barons was awarded Best Hostel Latvia 2008 ! Free basic breakfast for all guests.

| Bus: | From the Bus Station: Walk towards the Old City by going under the underpass walkway that takes you under the main road. When you emerge on the other side turn right. Walk across the road that has lots of tram tracks and to behind the building that is the Police Station. Behind the Police Station is a tram stop. Take any tram (3,6,11,8) for just two stops. You will get off the tram at the Dzirnavu stop and walk across the road to number 25 that is another 30 metres in the direction the tram was travelling. Barons is on the top floor of number 25. |
| Metro: | There is a Tram system that runs right past Barons. Trams 3, 11, 6, and 8. Get off at the Dzirnavu stop and walk 50 metres to number 25 Kr Barona Iela. |
| Parking: | Parking most definitely is available on the streets nearby. |
| Sea port: | Catch a taxi that should cost no more than 5 lats. Agree on the price before you get in. |
| Location: | Kr Barona 25 Top Floor. Between Dzirnavu and Blaumana that both intersect with Kr Barona. |
| Rail: | From the Train Station: Walk across the road to McDonalds and then one more street to Kr Barona Street. Turn right and walk to number 25 that is 200 metres away. Barons is on the top floor of number 25. |
| Airport: | From the Airport: Take a red taxi to Kr Barona 25. It will cost you about 7 lats. You can trust the taxi meter on the red taxis. Barons is on the top floor of number 25. If you take the Airport bus then you need to follow 'From the Train Station' directions once you get off of the bus |
