Staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and all deserve raises. Only downside: Beds are very noisy. If you even wiggle your toes you'll wake up your neighbor.

This is a good well managed hostel. Its not in the center of town but can be reached easily by using the Rennes metro. Stayed here 2 nights. This is an excellent place to stay for tourist going to Mont St Michel, Dinan, & St. Malo, use 9:40 AM bus at bus station to reach Mont St. Michel, the other 2 can be reached by train.

Booked for 1 night to go see Mont St. Michelle. Was not able to visit due to the bus schedule(I would recommend you book closer to the town or plan on staying more than one day). I visited the town of Rennes instead. The Hostel was good for the value of the money, breakfast was good and staff was helpful.

-sometimes it's noisy during the night along the corridor -don't understand why there is an hour of 10min shut down as there is no english explanation -a black lady in the kitchen asked me to classify the food tray items and put them into different cleaning trays. I don't understand why I need to do this

small rooms and if you have a shower you will form a lake under the washbasin. After this, it is still good value for money: breakfast is included!

One of the toilets lacked a toilet seat... There are issues with several of the toilets: Paper towels or dryers not working properly, no soap available, etc. However, the showers are good.
Hostel Overview
Located close to Rennes' old town with its restaurants and bars, the hostel makes a good base for exploring the nearby sights of Mont St-Michel and St Malo, or the Brocéliande forest located nearby. Accommodation is in 1-4 bedded rooms and facilities include a self service restaurant, bar-cafeteria and TV room.Safety lockers (lock on sale for 2€). You can pay cash, by credit card, American Express and Chèques Vacances (no change given). We don't accept bank cheques.

| Bus: | Bus #2, at the train station square. Alight at "IUFM", Verdun street, then turn left on St Malo street and walk to the bridge. You can also take the metro from the train station to "République", then take bus #8 and get off at "Auberge de Jeunesse". |
| Metro: | Direction Kennedy - alight at Sainte Anne station, then go down St Malo street (7 min walk). Or Anatole France station, take the left exit and walk to the Legraverend bridge, cross it and follow the Chézy wharf up to the hostel. |
