Great place! Its located in a great area, only a block from the beach, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful!
I love this place. I've stayed twice now and would definately stay again. The staff are very friendly, the hostel is located in a great spot in La Zona Romantica not far from La Playa de Los Muertos.
Very glad to hear they are openning a Hostel ion Sayulita, 26 miles north of PV. Look forward to visiting the new place soon.
A Great Hostel, Martinas who runs this place is doing an excellent job. bear in mind that this hostel does have a curfew and this is enforced. personally this was a good thing as at least you are garanateed a good nights sleep without lots of noise going on!
Awesome place to meet many people and connect with!
Great location close to beach stores food etc.
Staff were great will stay there again
soon I hope
Excellent Hostel! will definitely come back to visit.
Everything was great!
My stay at this hostel was great! It is fresh and clean. I felt safe and the location is close to a lot of what Vallarta has to offer. The people on staff were amiable. The owners (Kathy and Ricardo) made me feel welcome and were a good resource for finding local attractions. If you want a rewarding experience in Vallarta, for sure look into staying here.
Well, the beds are good, the aircon is powerful and the staff, when they're around, are nice. Security is high, rooms are cleaned daily and the kitchen is great. But what the hostel does not advertise is that it is in a converted parking lot which has no windows, no air and no character. It's actually part of a hotel next door - the owners must have decided to convert it into a hostel to make a bit of extra cash. It's therefore boiling hot, airless and completely devoid of natural light. There's hammocks, yes, but they're in the corner of a concrete room. The dorm aircon is turned off during the day which means if you want to chill out on your bed like most of us do from time to time, you're going to roast. The dorms are also very cramped. I wanted to like this place but feel it's poor value for money and seriously over-hyped. I was also very fed up to be given the worst exchange rate I've had since I started travelling.
Hostel response:
The hostel was open to give travellers a chance to enjoy a great location just one block from the main beach in down town PV and in a great neighborhood, without paying prime rates that people pay in this area or staying in a hostel way out of town.
Maybe because you arrived sick and all your stay you were recovering that changed your perspective of a Great Hostel that has been rated number ONE in Mexico by Hundreds of Voters.
So didn´t you get enough air and sun light by the pool in our totally open terrace with long chairs and tables?
Remember that summer in Mexico is hot and that´s why people visit us.
Thanks

| Bus: | At the bus terminal take the bus that says "Tunel" or "Centro" and ask to be dropped at Olas Altas. From there, just walk towards the beach and you will see the main street called "Olas Altas". Turn left there. We are two blocks away on the left hand side (it is the same street as Olas Altas Pier). |
| Parking: | We have private parking or just in the street there is plenty |
| Sea port: | We are just a few steps from Olas Altas Pier, where the boats for Yelapa and the other beaches leave from. |
| Location: | Right at the Romantic Zone just around the corner from the main street Olas Altas |
| Airport: | Take a taxi ($250 Mexican Pesos) or the public transport: (under the pedestrian bridge) the bus is blue and white and it says "tunel". Get off at the last stop and just walk 2 blocks towards the beach until you ge to the main street "Olas Altas". Take a left there and continue for two blocks. We are on the street of Muelle de Olas Altas, on the left hand side. |
