Nice hostel - clean, very friendly staff who wants to help, nice rooms. Internet access is a little slow and unreliable but gets the job done. Security is a little iffy - the female dorm I stayed in locked but I don't think the big dorm does and you don't need a key or card to get up to the rooms. Not really a lot of activities or anything to do at the hostel besides sleep and eat. There IS hot water but you have to jump in early or when no one else is using the water. Nice for a couple nights.

Easy to miss the entrance, so keep on eye out for the address or the sign (H with a halo). Not the best mattress I've slept on, hope they get newer ones soon. Male and Female dorms do not seem to exist, I was placed in a co-ed after paying for a single sex. American girl was very noisy having sex with with Mexican boyfriend. Co-ed bathrooms/showers concept does not seem to work well. Aside from the loud girl, other guests were great. Part of traveling in hostels is learning to roll with the punches.

Santo Domingo Hostel is located in downtown Puebla city, three blocks from Zócalo (central square) and 20 minutes from the bus station (CAPU). The hostel offers you 10 comfortable, beautiful and private rooms as well as dorms.Santo Domingo Hostel is in a Colonial house built in the 17th century. It receives its name thanks to its location near the Church of Santo Domingo, one of the most beautiful and important in the city, with its beautiful Capilla del Rosario, considered as an architectural jewel of Mexico and in the world.
One of the aspects that characterize the city of Puebla de los Angeles is the quality of its people. The poblanos are people who always will receive any visitor of the Republic and of the world with smile.
Something that is worthy to recognize is our delightful gastronomy, one of the most famous thanks to its flavor. Within the specialities we can offer are the famous Mole Poblano, Cemitas, Chiles in Nogada (according to season), the Chalupas, typical cakes, and an ample range of flavors that will enchant to you.
