Det kunde inte vara bättre! Kände mig som hemma med underbara människor omkring. Personalens kompetens och hjärtlighet går inte ta miste på. Alla frågor blev besvarade i receptionen av Petra och Pepa! Varje kväll var det gemensamma utflykter och matlagning med Kristian. Man lärde sig kulturen på det "godaste" sättet. Återvänder till Downtomn snart!

I stayed here just for one night, but I have to say that I really enjoyed my stay in this hostel. They have a really nice common area (with piano and guitar (and with free tea :D), where they do almost every night any activities (for free) as cooking or where you can just hang up with the other guests. Maybe one little minus is that they do not have an oven (just the micro wave one) in the kitchen. The staff was extremely nice and helpfull all the time! Thank you Petra, Pepa, Jasmína and Jana! I would definitely stay here again and I do recommend to stay to everyone.

myself and a friend had a private room which was not clean when we checked in but it was sorted very quickly. overall one of the best hostels I have stayed in. We especially liked the group cooking in the evening with Christian, it was a great way to get to know the other travellers in the hostel.

Very good stay, helpful staff, felt safe and hostel was quiet at night despite being busy,so slept fine. Nice to have female only dorm for lone female travellers.

The staff was very helpful and friendly; always giving good advice. The hostel itself was very well organized with activities happening often for the guests. I really liked how there were two fridges and a space to cook your own meals if you desired. The common room was very comfortable with an amazing big couch and it was a great place to meet the other people staying there. Overall an awesome experience!
Hostel Overview
Prague Hostel Downtown is located right in the centre of Prague, about 5 min walk from Old Town and Wenceslas Squares. We offer private rooms as well as dorms and ensuite dorms. The reception is open 24 hours, friendly and fluent English-speaking staff are waiting for you, with information service about Prague and Czech Republic.Lockers in the rooms, free internet, free wifi, the big kitchen for our travellers inside our common room would be a great place for meetings, and we believe the right hostels' atmosphere can be expected there.
Free map of Prague, luggage storage. All the rooms have been redecorated (May 2007) and all the furniture is new. It's a 5 minute walk to Charles Bridge, 3 minutes walk to Wenceslas Square.
What is new at hostel Downtown? We have reconstructed showers on the second floor, so there SHOULD BE NO PROBLEM with cold water and also the problem with many times pressing the button is repared :-) And also we have reconstructed NEW SHOWER at the female dormitory, so there is ladies shower just by this room. And to all female shower we add hair dryer, so it should be much more comfortable for our girls :-) And the last point, we have 3 new ensuite rooms on 5th floor and one of them has wonderful view on Prague Castle… so enjoy them :-)

You will find yourself standing at a tram stop. Turn right and follow the tram lines.
