Hostel Overview

If there is something Pajala wants to project it’s authenticity. People, nature and animals are near.

Here you will experience the beauty of the mountains, the silence of the wilderness and the roar of the rapids.

The Pajala hostel has a beautiful riverside location next to the Torneälven and is within walking distance from the centre. Guests are accommodated in two- and four-bed cabins. Keen anglers are well catered for: there are fantastic fishing waters and five untouched rivers offering free fishing. The woods and moors are filled cloudberries, lingonberries and blueberries just waiting to be picked.

Pajala is heavily influenced by its multicultural history and Tornedalen identity. Finnish, Sami and Swedish traditions meet in Pajala, and one of the best examples of this can be seen in the superb genuine handicraft on display at the Pajala market. Everything is for real in Pajala.
