Hostel Overview
*Ohmagari and Omagari, we spell the place name in both ways.Ohmagari YH was established on 1 March 2005 and is surrounded with typical Japanese great rice field. At the center of Yokote Basin, south part of Akita prefecture.
Akita prefecture is the area of heaviest snow in Japan. Yokote city holds Kamakura Snow Festival in mid February. Kamakura means an 'igloo-like snow house'. You will get to know how the local people live in one & half-meter-high snow.

Opening times
Opening times (daily/weekly):
Check-in 3-8pm, Dinner 6-8pm, Curfew 9pm, Lghts-out 10pm, Breakfast 7-8am, Check-out -10am. The guests who reserved dinner are required to check in until 7pm.

| Rail: | 【1.To Omagari】 *From Tokyo by Train : It takes 3 & half hours from Tokyo to Omagari by Akita Shinkan-sen named Komachi via Morioka. *From Tokyo by Bus : You can take highway bus named "Lake & Boat" torward Lake Tazawa travelled by Ugo-kotsu/Sagami Railway. The bus leaves Yokohama at 21:30, Hamamatsu-cho at 22:25, it arrives at Omagari bus termial at 6:50am. The return ticket costs 15,390yen. *From Sendai : It takes about 2 hours by Akita Shinkansen Komachi. The return ticket costs 16,000yen. By high-way bus, though it takes 3 & half hours, the return ticket costs only 7,000yen. The bus travelles by JR Tohoku/Ugo-kotsu named "Green Liner". *From Akita : By local train, it takes 1 hour and the fare is 950yen. By Komachi, it takes 30 minutes and the fare is 2610yen. 【2.From Omagari Station to Our YH】 The Nearest station is Iizume. It is next to Omagari torward Yokote. Only local train stops at Iizume. From Iizume to our YH, it takes 20 minutes by walk. You will see the guidance board in Iizume station. By taxi, the fare is about 2,500yen from Omagari Station to YH. |
