Heat was off and room was cold when we woke up but manager turned it back on when I informed him of the problem. Otherwise, one of the best HI hostels I've stayed in!

Fix the design of the showers!! Who's bright idea was it to do away with a light switch and put in an automatic sensor that goes off every 10 seconds and can't be activated from the shower with the curtain drawn! Also the force of the water from the shower is too much and can't be adjusted, and the shower curtain is too close and keeps sticking to the person in the shower, meaning you're fumbling around in the dark trying to get the light on while trying not to trip over the shower curtain while actually trying to wash yourself!

Had an excellent 2-night stay. 5 Star facilities - newly renovated. Great service from friendly staff. Weather atrocious but we were able to use the lounge & kitchen facilities until the room was ready - this was a real bonus!
