The accomodation was basic, but served my purposes well. I was in Moscow to see the sights, not the hostel. Could do with a lift service to the 4th floor - especially useful with a heavy backpack.

The Staff was excellent, we had a very good time out there, the only thing is that it is a old building and therefore there is no lift and to go to the fourth floor with baggage is quite a task, otherwise the place is located in a excellent place right where a tourist will ask for. very nice and friendly staff will help you all the way

No breakfast! :( / People smoke in the stairwell of the building - this is bad because you have to climb the stairs (3 or 4 floors) to reach the hostel.

It's pretty basic, don't expect too much. There aren't enough showers and toilets for everyone and they aren't that clean. I counted two showers and two toilets for everyone, I don't know if there were private bathrooms or not. I'm confident that there are better hostels for similar prices elsewhere in Moscow.

NAPOLEON Hostel is your ideal base for a great FUN stay in Moscow. Our hostel is located in a fully renovated Stalinist building, on the same street that NAPOLEON himself stayed when he occupied Moscow back in 1812! Hence our name.

| Location: | Metro Station Kitai Gorod, (Китай-город) is located in central Moscow on the Orange and Purple line. When getting off the metro train on the platform of metro station Kitai Gorod and between the trains, look for the sign that says 'Maroseyka'' (Маросейка). The sign is in the middle of the platform hanging from the ceiling and is quite small. It is important to find this sign and follow this sign toward Maroseyka Street and exit the metro station taking the escalators. At the top of the escalators walk through the glass doors and turn RIGHT, here you will enter into an underground passage with many different small shops. (or follow the signs towards Macdonalds). Walk all the way to the end of the passage and take the stairs to your left. Now you will be above ground. Walk forward from the stairs 100 meters up Maroseyka Street on the left hand side. Walk past the Old Orange Orthodox Church and take the first left street where you see a perfume shop with a huge plasma TV on it, this street is called Bolshoi Zlatoustinskiy Street. Walk down this street for 20 meters, then take the next right turning called Maly Zlatoustinskiy Street. Walk for 60 meters down this street and you will see our sign outside Dom 2 (House 2.) Enter the stairs and we are on the 4th Floor. The total walk from the metro is 2 minutes. |
| Airport: | SHEREMETYEVO Airport terminals 1, 2 and C; DOMODEDOVO Airport and VNUKOVO AIRPORT. In all cases take the airport express train to central Moscow (runs between 6am -11pm) costs 200-300 Roubles. Then take the metro to metro Station Kitai Gorod and follow the directions above. TAXIS FROM THE AIRPORT. NAPOLEON Hostel can book taxi transfers from the airport for 1,800 Rubles, please contact us. |
