Dirty, and loud. The showers were COVERED in hair, and there was a really loud group of schools staying. They stayed up till 6am, and no one/ i.e. staff seemed bothered. If it wasnt for the fact that Monpellier doesnt have another hostel I wouldnt have stayed more than one night.Its also worth noting that the location is also pretty good.

First HI hostel I've stayed in and was generally extremely disappointed. Institutional, absurd opening hours, surcharges and generally terrible value for money.

i have stayed in many hostels in europe and i found this one very dissapointing. A locker cost 1€ everytime i opened it, the dorms were closed from 11am until 3pm for cleaning, the whole hostel was closed from 12am until 2pm for whatever reason and there was absolutely no kitchen!! i had to ask myself- "what am i paying them for??" but then again there is no other choice in montpellier. A big thumbs down :(

The staff was friendly and spoke good english. The blankets were clean, so that was nice, but futher was it not very good. No showers on the first floor, so for showering I had to go upstares with all my stuff. Showers were cold. O and the last night there was a strange and horrible smell in my room.

C'était un peu limite. L'auberge est très bien placé, mais ça peut être un peu ennuyeux. Il n'y avait pas d'eau chaude et on a beaucoup attendu pour le petit-déjeuner qui n'était pas terrible non plus. Enfin, pour le prix, c'était juste.

The Montpellier hostel is located in the centre of this pleasant university town in the Lower Langedoc region, close to Montpellier’s cathedral, leafy promenades, shops and restaurants. The sandy beaches of the resorts of Palavas-les-Flots, Carnon, or La Grande Motte are within 30 minutes by car.

The Montpellier hostel has a capacity of 94 beds, with a choice of dorms and double rooms. The breakfast is included in the price. The facilities also include free Wi-Fi, a television, bar, pool tables and table football.

Ideally located in the heart of Montpellier, the hostel is just a short-walk from the St-Pierre Cathedral, and also close to parks and the small streets of the historical part of the city. Montpellier is a Mediterranean city full of history, with a great variety of festivals throughout the year, such as the International Festival in June and July, and the International Extreme Sports Festival in May.
