Hostel Overview
The hostel is at the ski centre, located between Mendoza and Cuevas on the Chilean border. Accommodation is in 4-6 bedded rooms, with capacity for 20 guests, and facilities include kitchen, laundry and meals.The Hostel Campo Base PENITENTES is located on the road number 7 a few kilometers away from Aconcagua Park entrance. Penitentes is a small village that works as a famous sky center during winter time (june, july, august). It has a mountaneering refuge character: wooden walls and beds, small windows, comfy blankets, a stove for fire with wood. It is a quiet place to make friends, share mountaneering experience with other guests, also a good place to rest, there is no phone, no internet. Important: no credit card accepted (pssss...! remember we are in the mountains)
