The self cook kitchen is under equipped . Bar prices and Internet fees far too expensive especially when there's a waterside pub opposite the YHA with free Wi Fi. Come on YHA get with the times, provide free Wi Fi, like I'm using to send this from Starbucks !

Over all it was a pleasant stay. Staff particularly were friendly and helpful. There was a canteen with good food in the evening. Security could have been improved, the security gate was easy to pass through (just with a room number and the gate did not always work.)

Maps of London should be available- also a big map of local area (showing ATMs, supermarkets, transport) on the wall so visitors know where they are: I arrived and didn't know where to go for supermarket, Underground stations, etc. Worst of all is not knowing where you are in relation to Central London. Internet access should be cheaper. The beds are not very comfortable and often people come in late (after 1am) and turn the main lights on...(I don't know what you could do about this!) At other hostels towels are provided for free. Also, a continental breakfast (for a cheap price) would be good. Cheers.

Paying for WiFi when pub across the road has free WiFi, why would I want to do that? Paying to store luggage, what a rip off!

The place teems with kids who like to yell. Apart from that and the no outside alcohol policy its a pretty good value for London.

It would be better to know upfront where you are up to: When I made my reservation I read something about a breakfast and I thought it was included in my deal, like all reservations we do in The Netherland (e.g. at StayOkay Hostels). When we arrived and asked when we could make use of the breakfast buffet they told us it wasn't included. It would be nice if people behind the help desk would laugh, just only once.... :-)

Staff was very helpful though the room is tiny and it smelled...the carpet was quite dirty too...smelly...a bit far away from center, not really well located though there is a bus stop right in front and the staff will sell you the bus & metro tickets.

was clean, felt safe and the location was fine- 5 min walk to the train station, bus stop out the front. Not close enough to walk to attractions like the website says though. It was fine for a quick visit as we were only there to sleep.

I hope in the future, you can set up more wifi hotspots in other floors, even they are not free.
